SD
cards: Right now if we sell you an SD card, it will have a US/Canada
Airports database included (this will also be loaded directly on Enigma). We
also supply World Airspace data and North American Terrain files. We are
waiting for the vector mapping to be completed and when it is the cards will
also have full vector maps of the US/Canada as well. We will have that
available as a download, which you can then copy onto your SD card, but you
may wish to wait until we have the maps available before ordering the card.
Card will be same price with vector maps loaded. Right now you can create
your own maps using our MapMaker program and then copy them onto the SD
cards.
SP-2 /
SP-4 / SP-5 AHRS sensors: The new SP-4 sensor is now available and
shipping. Also, we have a higher-cost, higher-performance AHRS sensor that
will be available soon, using BAe gyros. It is called the SP-5 and will be
about the same size as the existing SP-3. You can wait until close to the
end to order the AHRS sensor you require.

Compatible Devices:
Trio Avionics: MGL Avionics is working closely with
Trio
Avionics
so that the Enigma can communicate with the EZ Pilot autopilot. Others,
including the TruTrak system, will follow.
When? Enigma is already putting out messages required by EZ Pilot. Testing
will commence shortly.
Garmin SL-30/40: The Enigma is communicating with the
SL-30
and will soon give VOR/Localizer/Glideslope depictions. Also, you can get a
list of airport frequencies from the Enigma and SET FREQUENCY on the SL-30
or SL-40 with 1 click on the Enigma.
XCOM Transceiver: Can SET FREQUENCY on the XCOM through the Enigma,
from an easy drop down list from the airports database.

Notice:
Note that software is still in beta release. Although fully functional,
new developments are happening hard and fast and it is possible that minor
bugs are discovered. These are taken care of very quickly, usually in the
next software release 1 week later.

RDAC

- Four
or twelve channel thermocouple amplifier, high resolution chopper
stabilized system with full cold junction compensation and bow voltage
correction to laboratory standards.
- The
inputs can accept K-type or J-type thermocouples (selectable via provided
menu functions)
- Oil
and Water temperature NTC input compatible with most oil temperature
senders and the MGL water temperature sender.
- Also
accepts MGL precision semiconductor senders for water and oil temperature.

Universal rev counter input. Can be used on a wide variety of engines
using a variety of interface methods.
- Fuel
flow sender input. Can be used with most commercial liquid flow senders.

Calibration via provided menu functions.
- Oil
pressure sender input. Accepts most commercial oil pressure senders
including those from VDO.
- Fuel
level sender input with extensive calibration functions provided to allow
direct readout of fuel quantity corrected for tank shape and sender
tolerances.
- LM335
sensor based temperature sender to indicate ice warning. The sender is
normally fitted to the outside of a carburetor, in close proximity to the
throttle slider or valve or in the intake airflow.
- The
EMS included with the Ultra provides for a wide variety of engines and the
display unit can be configured in many different ways as outlined in the
'Device setup menu'.
AHRS
and compass functions:
Available
functions in this category depend on the capabilities of the sensor package
connected. The following list shows functions available with the SP-2 and
SP-4 sensors connected.

Bank/Pitch attitude display. This display resembles the artificial horizon
as found on typical IFR panels. The attitude display is not restricted to
a range of bank or pitch and is thus fully aerobatics capable.
- Turn
& Bank display. This consist of Rate 1 markers (2 minute standard rate
turn at 20 degrees bank) and a traditional Slip/Skid ball display.

Compass or gyro compass heading. This depends on the abilities of the
connected package.
