Powered Flexibility

PowerFLARM standalone is powered by aircraft power or fully autonomous by 6 AA-Cell batteries. PowerFLARM can operate without any external data- or power source thus is legally operable in any kind of aircraft. No certification nor special installation required!

PowerFLARM detects inserted batteries. If rechargeable, PowerFLARM charges batteries through its integrated charging circuit. PowerFLARM lasts up to 8 hours or 4 average flights - all on one load.

Easy to Install

PowerFLARM is loaded with features - yet incredibly tiny. Finding the right place to mount is no problem.

The bright, latest generation OLED Display is perfectly readable from any angle, providing even more options when installing.

Stunning: Display and Audio

The contrast display is perfectly readable, even in direct sunlight. It has beautiful colors, viewable from any angle - perfect if you and your copilot wish to use PowerFLARM simultaneously.

PowerFLARM features an integrated speaker, no problem even in very noisy airframes. PowerFLARM also features audio output to headsets or sound panels. Voice alarms are available as an upgrade from mid 2011.

Volume of speaker and audio output are separately controllable - so you can make everything perfectly suit your needs.

Clear and intuitive

PowerFLARM is very easy to understand and use.

The user interface intentionally dismisses unimportant information only showing important traffic. This makes situations easier to interpret. PowerFLARM supports you without distraction.

You gain more time to look out, yet still see all important info you need.

No buttons, no pain!

PowerFLARM has only one single big control knob that lets you easily access all functions in no time. It is perfectly usable, even in very gusty weather conditions.

The integrated menu is very easy to use, too. There is no need for guessing which button to press or to navigate through complex menu-dialogs. Everything is where you would expect it to be.

Latest on the IGC Flight Recorder issue:

Powerflarm for USA will have IGC-approval through Diamond.

Approval may well happen after first units ship.

This is relatively low risk as the Flarm folks have done IGC-approval before and know the drill.

Compatibility with current Flarm Products:

PowerFLARM and FLARM will be fully compatible and interoperational.

PowerFLARM will have a significant higher range and better transmission reliability (multiple antennas), though.

However all current FLARM versions (also those of our licensees) are and will remain illegal to import, sell or use in North America as they do not meet FCC requirements (and have no FCC ID, obviously).

To Qualify for a Group Discount the following terms must be met:

  • A group does not need to be an officially sanctioned club by the SSA.
  • Generally, a local club operating on an airfield is our model.
  • The group needs to be based at one airfield so that the benefit is appreciated by the participants.

  •  The order must come from one representative who will handle all the questions and be the contact person with the dealer.

  • This person will submit the order, collect the money and all units will be shipped to him/her for further delivery to the members of the group.
  • Some pilots fly at several airfields. We would consider their "BASE" to be the airfield from which 60% of their flights originate.
